Many guests enjoyed an evening at Grange Swindon with light refreshments as they viewed the new F–TYPE, and had an opportunity to test drive the new car.
Ever since the breathtaking Jaguar C-X16 Concept appeared in 2011, sports car lovers everywhere have been waiting with bated breath for the production reality…and since April 2012 when F-TYPE was given the green light, more than 70,000 people with a passion for performance have expressed their serious interest!
This new car has amazing looks and the very latest technology. F-TYPE V8 S is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged engine that will carry it from 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 186mph. With an 8-speed, Quickshift automatic gearbox, a lightweight aluminium body and the availability of Dynamic Launch Mode on V6 S, F-TYPE is a car that, just loves to be driven.
We now have the first pure, undiluted two-seater sports car since the E-Type was launched 50 years ago: the true spiritual successor to a global icon. Auto Express said:

There was a good attendance, all having a genuine interest in the event with a really buzzing atmosphere. However most of all I felt they were
paying tribute to the Swindon Grange dealership in particular which you lead so superbly. The F-TYPE is a fabulous car, and one I am quite likely to own at some point – particularly if you are able to look after me as you did when purchasing my XFS – for which I still have fond memories. Although I left Jaguar this year for the Maserati, I am still a Jag man at heart, and will be back when I get over my mid-life crises.
