Set to be the best-selling Jaguar of all time, the all-new Jaguar F-PACE is a critical car for the British brand.
It enters the premium SUV market as a rival to some impressive machines, taking on the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and even lives up to the Porsche Macan.
Drivers can choose from rear and four wheel drive versions, petrol or diesel engines, plus manual or automatic gearboxes. The top of the range model uses the F-TYPE’S 380PS supercharged V6 while at the other end of the spectrum the 2.0-litre diesel offers 180PS and emissions as low as 129g/km whilst achieving up to 57.7mpg. There is also a 3.0-litre diesel with 700Nm of torque.
Stepping into the cabin, even the ‘entry-level’ Prestige model is well equipped, coming with leather seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, sat nav, a powered tailgate and a Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as Bluetooth phone connectivity, all-round parking sensors and cruise control.
The F-PACE’s 650-litre boot is among the best in class and only 20 litres shy of the capacity of a Porsche Cayenne. The F-PACE’s rear seats offer 40:20:20 split-folding as standard, boosting practicality even further.
Buyers can now choose to have the new ‘activity key’ – a waterproof, shockproof wristband with an integrated transponder. This wearable technology allows the key fob to be securely locked inside the vehicle. It can be used to lock and unlock the vehicle by holding it in close range to the J of the Jaguar lettering on the tailgate and the activity key has no battery, so you never have to worry about changing it.
