The new 2017 F-pace SUV & XE sports sedan make their debut at the 2015 L.A Auto Show.
Jaguar will have a line up of 5 different vehicles for the first time ever in 2016. The new XE sport sedan is hotter than ever and we know how Americans are crazy about their SUVs. Cars like BMW 3 Series & Mercedes C-Class have been in the market for years as well as Audi Q5 and the Porsche Macan who hold a strong hold on small luxury SUVs.
The F-Pace is the brand’s first SUV and all the signs point to success. The F-Pace is due to launch in the early 2016 giving customers the choice between two engines; one is a 2.0 –litre turbodiesel with four-cylinders that spin to the tune of 180HP and 318 pound-feet of torque. The other option is a 3.0 litre supercharged petrol V6 that make 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a standard all-wheel drive system through 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
The XE sport Sedan comes with three different engine options. One is a 3.0 litre , 6-cylinder, turbocharged engine with 340 horsepower. The second option is a 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine with 240 horsepower and the third one is a 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 180 horsepower. All three come with customized 8-speed automatic transmissions. The sport sedan relies on heavily on aluminium which was designed based on a new global vehicle architecture shared with the XF mid-size sedan and the new F-Pace sport utility vehicle. The interior is where the XE sport sedan really shines with an all-new 10.2-Inch touchscreen infotainment system dubbed “InControl Touch Pro”.
Both the F-pace and the XE sport sedan will go on sale around the same time next year.
