Between the years of 1992 and 1992 Jaguar made just 271 legendary XJ220 models. Twenty Two years later an immaculate example has popped up on eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of $519,000 (£418,920) which is not exactly a cheap find. But… When you take a look inside and the mileage clock shows 749 it all changes, one of the lowest mileage examples for sale across the world. Not only has it barely been driven it shows literally no sign of ageing, with the Grey leather seats, vinyl dash, speedometer, steering wheel and gauges in factory fresh condition. Also coming with the original books, tools, paperwork and a spare set of keys. Stamped with production number 328, it makes the XJ220 one of not very many available in the United States or in fact the world.
The XJ220 is particularly legendary not only because of its great looks but was at one point the fastest car in the world (1994 -1998) reaching a top speed of 217.1 mph. It also held the Nürburgring production car lap record of 7:46.36. Originally the supercar was going to feature a 7 litre V12 engine and an all-wheel-drive transmission, this was then replaced with a 3.5 litre twin turbo V6 engine with a rear wheel drive transmission.
