Grange Land Rover Swindon enjoyed a fantastic day at the Pony Club regional championships on Saturday 27th August. Land Rover have teamed up with the Pony Club to support them and all of their events to help the grass roots of the equestrian world.

With three cars on display the Range Rover Evoque Convertible, Discovery and Discovery Sport we had lots of interest and met many of the teams. And discovered just how many children can fit in the Range Rover Evoque!

A prize draw to win a 24 hour test drive in the Evoque  convertible was extremely popular. With many people looking at the new car pleased with the space and towing capabilities. Equally the Discovery Sport and Discovery received a lot of attention.

Rectory Farm was an excellent setting for the event with the cars sitting proudly on the brow over looking the show jumping in the middle of the Cotswold hills. The rain held off for the majority of the day allowing excellent conditions for competing and appreciating the beautiful convertible with the soft top roof down.

Teams travelled from both locally with the Beaufort and VWH local to Grange competing and taking home lots of rossettes as well as teams from as far as Wales. It was brilliant to see so many young riders so enthusiastic about the sport and with such an excellent attitude they were all wonderful individuals and teams. Berkley Hunt South won the dressage taking home so great rosettes and prizes sponsored by Land Rover including numnahs. And the individual winner was Keira Shafiq with Lottie Gilderson in 2nd place and Grace Duffin 3rd.

We had great fun at the event which was a great success with the Pony Club and team at Rectroy farm working so hard along with the hours put in by the children and the parents to get them to the level to be able to take part in the event.
