According to figures released by Land Rover they had a record July with sales of vehicles going up 19 per cent year-on-year. They sold 31,288 vehicles. Their best selling car for the month was the Discovery Sport.
Nearly 8,400 vehicles were sold with the Evoque becoming the next best-seller after 8,208 vehicles were bought. Calendar year-to-date sales for Land Rover reached 261,194 vehicles, 15 per cent up on the previous year.
Jaguar had their best July ever with sales increasing 91 per cent on the previous year. They delivered 13,198 vehicles. Experts say the strong figures reflect the launch of the F-PACE as well as continued solid sales of the XE.
This month, Jaguar performed very strongly across all regions, notably in North America, where thanks to the brand’s expanded line up in showrooms. Calendar year-to-date sales for Jaguar were 74,858 up 69 per cent year-on-year.
