Grange Jaguar have looked after long time guest Alistair Kennedy’s Jaguar’s for over 15 years. He currently owns a 2011 3.0 Jaguar XF. In November 2014 Alistair decided to treat himself to a Jaguar E-type, the car he has always wanted.
After visiting Grange Swindon to show off his new purchase Simon Thomas service advisor of 4 years persuaded Alistair to leave his pride and joy with Grange over the winter of 2014-2015.
The work included complete removal of entire powertrain and cleaning and painting the bulkhead, replacement of heater hoses, brake pipes, air intake ducting, removal and overhauling of rear axle and differential. The restoration was carried out by the newest member of Grange Jaguar Swindon, technician Adam Clay – a nice way to spend your first 4 months in a new job.
Alistair collected the car in March and has since attended a number of classic car shows and also travelled to Edinburgh in the vehicle.
