Aston Martin together with EON Productions, the producers of the James Bond film franchise, unveiled Bond’s stunning new car this morning, the Aston Martin DB10, on the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios.

Aston Martin is delighted to confirm that James Bond will once again drive an Aston Martin in the new film – Spectre. On this occasion, it will be a model developed specifically for the film and built in-house by our design and engineering teams.

Led by Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, the design team has worked closely with the film’s director, Sam Mendes, to create the ultimate car for the world’s most famous spy.

Celebrating our half century with Bond, which started with the iconic DB5, the DB10 gives a glimpse to the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins.

Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, said: “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.
“To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin.

“I’m incredibly proud of everyone in the team at Gaydon who have brought this special project from concept to reality.”
Production will be strictly limited to 10 of the bespoke sports cars, developed and built by the designers, engineers and highly skilled craftspeople at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters.

Spectre and Aston Martin Q&A

1 When will the next Bond film be released?
EON announced that Spectre will be released on 6 November 2015. Following on from the success of Skyfall, Sam Mendes will direct Spectre and Daniel Craig will return for his fourth Bond appearance.

2. Will Bond be driving an Aston Martin in the next film?
Yes. We are delighted to confirm that James Bond will drive an Aston Martin created specifically for him in Spectre.

3. Which model will Bond be driving?
He will be driving a new Aston Martin DB10. This is a unique car designed and built specifically for the film.

4. Why did you call it DB10?
The brief was to create a modern day equivalent of the iconic DB5 sports car that launched the Aston Martin/EON partnership over 50 years ago and so it is fitting that this carry carries the ‘DB’ nomenclature. Only 10 examples of the car will be built.

5. Why did you create a unique car for the film and not use one of your existing cars?
It’s fitting in the year that EON, producers of the James Bond films, and Aston Martin celebrate the 50th anniversary of their enduring partnership that we mark this milestone with a very special sports car built specifically for the film.

6. Who designed the car?
The car was designed by the Aston Martin design team at Gaydon led by Marek Reichman.

7. Can I buy the DB10?
No. This is a unique car designed specifically for the film and is not a production model for sale.

Spectre is due for general release on 6 November 2015.
